Global Stainless Steel Price Adjustments Continue, Domestic Custom Precision Shaped Wires Lead Export Growth

Recently, domestic and foreign stainless steel markets have experienced linked price adjustments. The domestic market has achieved a technical recovery after a sharp decline, yet the fundamental improvement remains limited, and structural differentiation in the industry has become more prominent. Driven by fully released macro negative factors and recovering market sentiment, domestic stainless steel futures stopped falling and rebounded, with spot prices rising slightly. However, downstream end-users remain cautious in procurement with low acceptance of price increases, failing to boost overall market trading activity.
Inventory and production data reflect the current market situation. The inventory of stainless steel in Wuxi and Foshan, two core trading hubs, has decreased slightly, easing the pressure of inventory accumulation. Meanwhile, domestic steel mills have reduced production schedules in September with marginal supply contraction, supporting market price stabilization. Nevertheless, weak nickel prices fail to provide solid cost support. The current market rebound is only a technical correction rather than a fundamental improvement in market demand.
Overseas markets have also ushered in price adjustments. Leading Indian stainless steel manufacturers raised the prices of 316L coils again in September due to rising nickel and scrap costs. Overseas raw material price fluctuations have been rapidly transmitted to the domestic export market, directly affecting the export quotation system of 316L stainless steel shaped wires. Currently, the shaped wire industry presents obvious polarization. Standard flat wires and square wires face sluggish domestic demand, high inventory and fierce low-price competition, squeezing corporate profit margins continuously.
In contrast, high-precision custom shaped wires show strong market resilience with steady overseas inquiries and orders, becoming the core growth track of the industry. Innavite (Taizhou) New Materials Co., Ltd. has long been committed to the R&D and precision production of custom stainless steel shaped wires. Relying on the complete supporting stainless steel industrial chain in Taizhou, the company focuses on high-end application scenarios such as mine filtration, water treatment equipment, petrochemical equipment and building reinforcement, providing high-precision and corrosion-resistant custom shaped wire products for global customers.
All products are manufactured in strict accordance with the latest industrial standard YB/T 6371‑2025. The company supports full-process material traceability and provides complete test reports and CE certification, fully meeting the procurement standards of high-end overseas engineering projects. Facing the linked fluctuation of global stainless steel prices and fierce homogeneous competition, enterprises must abandon low-end and low-price tracks, focus on differentiated and high-end customized products to effectively hedge market risks and stabilize foreign trade market shares.
In the short term, stainless steel raw material prices will fluctuate within a range, and the competitive pressure of conventional shaped wires will persist. Benefiting from sophisticated technology, customized services and strict quality control systems, domestic high-end shaped wire products will continue to demonstrate export advantages, steadily leading the global market and becoming a key driving force for the transformation and upgrading of China’s stainless steel deep processing industry.
