Arc screens, also known as DSM curve screens, are efficient screening equipment that utilize the combined action of centrifugal force and gravity for solid-liquid separation. Materials are fed tangentially along the curved screen surface, where liquids and fine particles discharge through screen slots under centrifugal force while coarse particles slide downward for separation.

1. Working Principle

The arc screen surface is optimized through fluid dynamics design to ensure uniform material distribution and significantly improved screening efficiency. The screen surface adopts stainless steel wedge wire welded structure with filtration precision from 0.1 to 2mm. The V-shaped wedge wire cross-section provides self-cleaning characteristics and effectively prevents particle embedding.

2. Mine Tailings Recovery

In mineral processing, arc screens efficiently classify tailings slurry, recovering valuable fine minerals while reducing tailings storage requirements. Compared with traditional linear vibrating screens, arc screens offer significant advantages including no moving parts, simple maintenance and large processing capacity. Wear-resistant alloy arc screens have service life exceeding conventional materials by 3 times or more.

3. Water Treatment Applications

In municipal sewage and industrial wastewater treatment, arc screens are widely used in preliminary treatment stages to efficiently remove suspended solids, fibers and hair. The equipment operates without power consumption, achieving solid-liquid separation solely through gravity flow with minimal operating costs. 316L material water treatment arc screens are widely used in papermaking, dyeing and food processing wastewater treatment applications.
